Music: Kelsey-Metro StationI guess I'm fairly happy. Yesterday, and today, I didn't have to go to school because of exam stuff. On Monday night, I'd rushed through my art preparatory work till around 12 plus? Then my Mom came home from her shift and I had to turn off the lights in my room and hide everything in case she notices I'm awake and see that I was doing school work even though I had four days to do it, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Well, actually I was given at least two weeks to do it but let's not tell her that ;)
So while waiting for her to go to sleep already so I could continue my art, I fell asleep. Darn, I always fall asleep at the wrong time!!! So when I woke up for school the next day, I freaked out and stuff. But I managed to continue my art work during assembly and break time, so it was alright.
After school, Mom brought Pearl and I to Causeway Point. We went to Courts to see the stuff they have there, and that's when I spotted my baby. My dream. My destiny. The MacBook!!! There, on one table, were all the latest MacBooks and iMac. And OHMIGOD was that MacBook pretty. I am talking about the black one, though. I couldn't give a care about the white one. It was like a dream come true to actually be able to test out one, I almost passed out. Almost.
On the other side of the table, there sat the biggest mother of all iMacs, I swear to God. The iMac had a humongous screen, you honestly have to see it yourself to be fully convinced. And I thought my iMac screen was big. Ha! The new iMac's screen was as huge as a television's (I'm not sure, maybe I'm exaggerating, but boy was it huge!). And the next thing that shocked me was the keyboard. The tiny key board, that was about as wide as the screen's base. Now, I'd thought they were exaggerating when I saw how small the keyboard was in the ads, you know, to make it look like the screen was really big. But it turns out that the screen
is big, and the keyboard
is tiny.
And yet Apple managed to fit all those keys in, and not make them too tiny or anything. I love Apple. Next up was the mouse. It actually right-clicks now!!! OK, so maybe the old one did, just that I didn't edit the preferences or anything on mine. But still. It right-clicks! And it was sooo sensitive, I just squeeze the sides of the mouse a teeny bit, and already the Windows menu comes out. I have to squeeze mine harder than that normally, so it was kind of a surprise to me.
Annnndddd the scroller in the mouse works! Really, no kidding you here. You can actually scroll with the mouse now! Or maybe it's because my mouse is old and it can't give a friggin care if I want to scroll using it, but whatever. As soon as we get a new Internet connection contract, we'll be getting the iMac, Mom says. But of course, there's always a catch. I'm paying with my allowance (both Internet connection AND iMac). I honestly do not mind, because I don't really do much with my allowance. Though I'm not sure if she truly honestly means it. But we've talked about it a lot already, so it's most likely true.
I know I'd said I wanted a MacBook before, but after seeing the iMac, I decided to get that one because a) its has waaaay longer time to use, b) I don't really need to bring it out and around much and c) the MacBook costs more, and I'm paying, remember?
I am so glad Courts decided to sell Apple product there now. Seriously. They will be earning a lotttt because of it. And then they'd smack their foreheads and go, "Heck, why didn't we decide to do this earlier?!" OK whatever. I love Apple.
OK, moving on. Yesterday, I woke up at about 11 plus. Went to use the computer and just did mostly not much. Yesterday night, I stayed up with Dad to wait for Mom. He watched tv, I read my book, Queen of Babbly by Meg Cabot (!!!). When Mom came home, we watched American Idol together. Mom said Adam is gay. Is that true? I have no idea whatsoever because I haven't been watching it much, so. American Idol will sooo not be fun without Simon! Is he really leaving the show? Think of all the bad things that will happen after that: less people watch, less people vote because less people watch, less money is collected because less peole vote, less aid stuff is bought because less people vote, less people are privileged to aids provided in Idol gives back because less aid stuff is bought, and American Idol will gain less popularity because of all of the above. How sad.
So after American Idol, Mom went to bed and Dad and I ate peanuts and watched television. Ha, that was one of the nights I can remember he did not have anything against me or something like that. So of course I was happy. And thank God we had peanuts left.
This morning, I woke up, upside down, with my feet on one of my pillow and another pillow where my head rests on where my feet is supposed to be. Well, this was because it felt less warmer that way, what with the fan blowing in face more often than if I slept the right way. I was almost blinded by the light coming from out the window. I looked at my watch: 12.43pm. Huh. That's laaatte. Then I heard my Mom walking around the house, and wondered, "Shouldn't se be at work by now?" I checked my watch again. Still 12.43pm. Then I realized i got the minute and hour hand mixed up and it was acutally 8.05am. Bonus! I woke up early!
Then I fell asleep again a little and woke up at about 8.45am, when my Mom was telling me good bye as she was off to work. To lazy to get out of bed, I just told her bye back.
So now I'm here. I'm gonna make graphics soon. I hope. And whoaaa this post is long. Sorry about that!
Xoxo.
